ABOUT APAPARI

History

The Asia Pacific Academy of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology & Immunology (APAPARI) is the professional medical specialty organization representing pediatrician, allied health professionals and other physicians in Asia-Pacific region who have special interest in Allergy, Clinical Immunology and Respirology. As the necessities of gathering them grew, the 1st APAPARI(Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology) meeting was held on April 12, 1997 at KAPARD in Seoul, Korea and the meeting for the foundation of APAPARI was hel d on May 13, 1998, at APCACI'98 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dear Colleagues,

It is an immense pleasure to warmly welcome you to Asia Pacific Academy of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology (APAPARI) Congress 2019, which will be held in conjunction with the 6th Indonesian Pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology (IPACI) Congress. We sincerely hope you will have insightful learning and sharing experience upon your attendance in Bali on 9-12 October 2019.

Aligned with SDGs’ agenda to reduce by one third premature mortality from noncommunicable diseases, there has been an increased need to develop a more comprehensive approach in patient care for better long term outcome, while optimizing current management for communicable diseases. This year’s theme, “Improving Outcome of Pediatric Allergy, Respiratory, and Immunology Diseases” is the right discussion prompt for speakers and participants to enrich what is already known and explore new possible solutions, all in the spirit of giving the best for our patients.

I would like to express my warm gratitude to Indonesian Pediatric Society Bali Chapter as well as Allergy Immunology Working Group of Indonesian Pediatric Society and all collaborating partners for all the hard work to make this prestigious meeting happen. We sincerely hope that the knowledge and insight shared during this event will contribute to the management of everyday practice.

The Allergy Immunology Working Group of Indonesian Pediatrics Society (IPS) in collaboration with Indonesian Pediatric Society Bali Branch would be delighted to invite you to attend the Asia Pacific Academy of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology (APAPARI) Congress 2019 which will be organized in conjunction with 6th Indonesian Pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology (IPACI) Congress in Bali, Indonesia from 9 – 12 October 2019.

Since the 1st Congress in Seoul, Korea in 1997 till last year’s Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, APAPARI Congress has become a forum for pediatric allergy, immunology and respirology doctors to exchange views and ideas to develop new concepts and theories for the welfare of children in Asia Pacific.

“Improving Outcome of Pediatric Allergy, Respiratory, and Immunology Diseases” has been chosen as theme of the congress, thus the aim of the APAPARI Congress 2019 is to enhance and update the knowledge as well as skills on diagnosis, management and Increasing research interest in the field of pediatric allergic, respirology and immunology diseases.

We will do our best to make APAPARI Congress 2019 the most memorable event for you, by experiencing the fruitful scientific congress, wonderful unique culture of Bali and beyond, experiencing a beautiful scenery and city tours.

Mission

The mission of the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology & Immunology is the advancement of the knowledge and practice of pediatric allergy, respirology and immunology for optimal patient care. The APAPARI's goals are to:

  • Improve the quality of patient care in allergy, respirology, and immunology
  • Maintain and advance the diagnostic and therapeutic skills of members and foster their appropriate application
  • Develop and disseminate educational information for members, patients, physicians and health professionals
